Two sessions are offered each day: one morning session and one afternoon session.

Kindergarten Orientation for Incoming Families

Kinder families, get ready to leap into learning!

Leap into Kinder is a fun and welcoming orientation program designed to help children — and their families — feel confident, connected, and excited about starting kindergarten.

Through interactive activities and guided school experiences, families will become familiar with daily routines, meet school staff, explore learning spaces, and learn ways to support a successful transition into elementary school.

Family Involvement Matters

This experience is designed for both children and caregivers. Parents and guardians will participate alongside their child in hands-on sessions that introduce:

  • Daily school routines and expectations
  • Classroom and campus environments
  • Communication tools and family resources
  • Tips for supporting kindergarten readiness at home

What to Expect

Interactive Learning Activities
Families will participate in engaging activities that introduce important kindergarten routines and expectations in a fun, supportive environment.

Explore the School
Students and families will visit classrooms, playgrounds, lunch areas, and other important learning spaces to help children feel comfortable and prepared for their first day.

Support for Families
Caregivers will receive helpful information and resources to support their child’s emotional, social, and academic transition into kindergarten.

  • Parent/guardian participation is required.
  • Families are welcome to attend any sessions that fit their schedule.
  • Each session includes different activities and information while also reviewing important school routines and expectations.
